Brouwerij Alvinne (Zwevegem, Belgium) x Hair of the Dog (Portland, OR)

This is a beerticker's delight. You want a unique, complex beer? Check. Limited release? Check. This collaboration was brewed with Portland's Hair of the Dog and blends "Cuvée Freddy" (an oak-aged Flanders Oude Bruin from Alvinne) with "Fred" (a malty American strong ale from Hair of the Dog). Tart and oaky on the tongue with a strawberry, dark cherry and burnt caramel finish. At 8%, it's totally a meal finisher with a spoonful of sticky toffee pudding, or share with a friend while eating some boudin noir on brioche.
