Arabella Park aims to inspire and foster a passion for craft beer.  We’re dialled in on people, education  and facilitating memorable experiences through food, drink and conversation.  Our 18-tap draught selection includes a rotating roster of the very best regional beer and cider, supplemented by exciting beers from other provinces and countries.  Our kitchen has a strong and focused technique, combining both traditional and modern ideas to create shareable dishes that pair beautifully with beer.  Our trick is to have fun with it, creating innovative food with a playful approach.

Job Title: General Manager

Job Overview:

Are you a craft beer lover with a knack for management and a passion for creating unforgettable experiences? Look no further! As our General Manager, you'll be at the helm of our operation, ensuring smooth sailing from opening to closing time. If you're ready to lead with professionalism and personality, we want you on our team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Team Development:
    • Lead by example, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for our staff.
    • Train and mentor our team to deliver top-notch service and product knowledge.
    • Create and manage schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficiency.
    • Provide feedback and opportunities for growth to our team members.
  2. Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, building maintenance, and cleanliness standards.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
    • Develop, update, and enforce policies and procedures to streamline operations and enhance the customer experience.
  3. Customer Service and Experience:
    • Uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service, resolving any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Build rapport with our guests, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
    • Plan and execute events and promotions to engage our community.
    • Manage large group bookings requests.
  4. Financial Management:
    • Monitor sales and expenses, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
    • Conduct weekly sales and cash analyses & distribute tips accordingly.
    • Manage inventory levels and purchasing to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
    • Work closely with the management team to develop and adhere to budgets and financial goals.
  5. Social Media & Website Management:
    • Craft a well-rounded social media presence that highlights our current products and events.
    • Ensure that each post reflects our brand identity, values, and personality, while also resonating with our target audience.
    • Manage engagement in comments and inbox.
    • Maintain website; including menus, events highlights, booking/request forms, and online sales.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a management role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a bar or restaurant setting.
  • A genuine passion for craft beer and a desire to share that passion with others.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
  • Familiarity with Square platform (POS & scheduling) and Google Docs & Sheets.
  • Proficiency in IT troubleshooting and solutions considered an asset.
  • Smart Serve certified
  • A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
